Striking and original slender boat shaped basket, ideal for holding nuts, fruit, pens, pencils, all the keys and things out of your pockets, or as a smartphone holder/ charging station.I try to make contrasts of colours within each basket to highlight the different shades of willow. This design is a great way of using the smallest willows from my patch which would in a commercial setting be destined for the bonfire! But, it is like when you grow your own carrots- even the smallest is beautiful and must be used.
The willows are sweetly scented with different colours of willow bark, harvested by me and probably some willing helpers on a sunny day one February in the last few years.
Made using entirely organically frown Scottish willow from my patch in Lanarkshire, carries the Scottish Working Woods label.
