Location: Anna Liebmann’s studio at Edinburgh, EH15 2PN
Date: 4th - 5th October, 2025, 10am - 4pm
Students will learn how to make a heritage basket of the British Isles, a strawberry basket. Suitable contemporary uses include a shopping basket, bottle basket, or allotment/garden/produce basket. Option of building an underfoot round base, then we will cover pull down waling, bye- stakes, fitching (openwork), 5 rod border and wrapped handle. Suitable for students familiar with willow basketry who have worked on at least a few stake and strand baskets before, preferably able to work under their own steam already.
