Lightweight and strong wet linen basket to make hanging your washing a joy. Ten year guarantee on the handles (as long as used for purpose- no bricks or plums!). Compared to a plastic laundry basket, this will last a lifetime and compost naturally if it ever isn’t needed any more. (Then lucky you for not having any washing to do!).
This is the same size and function as the White Willow Wet Laundry Basket, but made all with colourful willow with the bark still on. I like to try and get contrasts and beautiful colour combinations in, and try and use as much homegrown willow as possible.
I will make the basket largely if not solely with organically grown Scottish willow. The most likely use for English Somerset willow would be for the side stakes (the upright rods that are woven around in the sides, and folded over at the top to weave the border), meaning that the basket would be approximately 75% organically grown Scottish willow.
